Say Final Good Bye our Past International Commodore (PIC), Joseph W Philip Jr (Founder of Rotary Clubs, PIC of IYFR, Life Member of Waikiki Yacht Club and Sailor's sailor)
There will be a memorial service for
Joseph W Phillip Jr, Past International Commodore of International Yachting
Fellowship of Rotarian (IYFR) at Central Union Church (corner of Beretania & Punahou
St) at NOON on Friday July 8th.
Please dress White Uniform on Saturday, July 9th!
At 12noon (1200 hrs) on Saturday July 9th boats will leave the Waikiki Yacht Club for the "bite" (off the Waikiki Natatorium) or the D.H. buoy weather permitting. All boats will circle Leialoha for a traditional sailor's send off conducted by Rev. David Lyman. After the verbal portion of the service on VHF channel 71 half of Joe's ashes and your leis will be committed to the ocean. Please arrive at the WYC by 11:30 am so you can be assigned to a boat. Upon returning to WYC there will be a buffet with a no host bar. Prior to the buffet dignitaries and all present will have the opportunity to tell a tale about Joe and themselves.

The remaining half of Joe's ashes will be interred at Oahu Cemetery at a later
date, when special friends from afar can be present along with his daughters
children & spouses.
